St. Cloud State Soccer drops 2-0 decision at Winona State

Winona, Minn. - The St. Cloud State University soccer team (3-4, 2-2 NSIC) lost a 2-0 decision at Winona State University (6-1, 3-1 NSIC) on Saturday, Sept. 27 in Winona, Minn.
Winona State gained the game-winning goal at 32:19 of the contest with a marker by Hannah Burt. The Warriors extended their lead to 2-0 in the second half with a goal by Holly Berling at 64:02 of the game.
SCSU was outshot 19-7 in the game by Winona State as the Huskies' Gabby Fleck and Kara Espinosa each had two shots in the game. St. Cloud State senior netminder Kenzie Hanzlik charted seven saves in the contest, while WSU's Rachel Oleson had four saves and the shutout for the Warriors.
The Huskies will continue their NSIC road trip on Sunday, Sept. 28 with an 1 p.m. game at Upper Iowa in Fayette, Iowa.
