SCSU Volleyball Splits First Day at Rollins College Invitational

Winter Park, Fla.- The St. Cloud State University volleyball team opened up their season at the Rollins College Invitational today in Winter Park, Fla. The Huskies defeated the University of North Carolina, Pembroke 3-0 with final scores of 25-17, 25-19 and 25-9. The Huskies then took on Texas A&M University, Kingsville and fell in five sets with scores 25-17, 20-25, 25-21, 17-25 and 13-15.
The Huskies move to 1-1 overall and will continue competition tomorrow at the Rollins College Invitational as they take on the University of West Georgia at 1:00 p.m. and Rollins College at 7:00 p.m.

University of North Carolina, Pembroke Recap:
Kellan Flynn (Tomahawk, Wis.) led the Huskies with 9 kills in just 11 attempts and a .818 attack average against Pembroke.
Erin Ohlemann (Golden Valley, Minn.) tallied 25 set assists.
Texas A&M University, Kingsville Recap:
Shannon Klink (Hartfod, Wis.) had a team high of 17 kills and hit a .235 attack percentage.  Kaitlin Doughty  (Tomahawk, Wis.) posted 11 kills.
Erin Ohlemann (Golden Valley, Minn.) tallied 53 set assists.
Brianne Stamer (Hutchinson, Minn.) had a team high of 14 digs.
