Huskies Volleyball to open 2014 season at Rollins Invitational

St. Cloud State volleyball will travel to Winter Park, Fla., Sept. 5-6 to open the 2014 season at the Rollins Invitational hosted by Rollins College.
On Sept. 5th, the Huskies will face off against the University of North Carolina, Pembroke at 9 a.m. and Texas A&M University, Kingsville at 5 p.m. The Huskies will finish up their trip with a match against the University of West Georgia at 1 p.m. and their final match against Rollins College at 7 p.m. on Sept. 6th.Â

- Their final match they defeated Minnesota State University, Mankato 3-0. The Huskies first victory over the Mavericks since 2008.
- Kellan Flynn was listed as a player to watch in the NSIC this season.
- Flynn finished last season with 229 kills, posting a .286 attack percentage.
- Flynn had a season high 17 kills against MSU Moorhead and season high six blocks at U-Mary.
- The Braves ended their season 16-21 overall.
- They ended their regular season winning five of their eight final matches.
- Clinched an eighth-place regular season finish in conference play.
- The Javelinas ended the 2013 season with a 15-19 overall record and a conference record of 6-10.
- They ended their regular season with a 3-1 win.
