Women's Basketball Set to Face off with Fort Hays State and Northland College in Huskies Classic

St. Cloud, Minn.- The St. Cloud State Women's Basketball team will host the Huskies Classic Tournament this weekend Nov. 18-19 at Halenbeck Hall. The tournament will feature the Huskies, the Bemidji State Beavers, Fort Hays State Tigers, and the LumberJills of Northland College.Â
The first game of the tournament will be between Bemidji State and Northland College. The Beavers (1-0, 0-0 NSIC) and the LumberJills (0-1, 0-0 UMAC) have met in each of the last two seasons, with Bemidji State leading the all time series 2-0. Tip off for this game is set for 4 p.m. on Nov. 18.Â
The Huskies are featured in the second game of the tournament as they play host to Fort Hays State. St. Cloud State (1-1, 0-0 NSIC) and Fort Hays (2-0, 0-0 MIAA) have only met once, with the Tigers winning that match up last season 52-44 over the Huskies. Tip off is set for 6 p.m.
The second day of tournament action will open with Bemidji State facing off with Fort Hays. The Beavers and Tigers have faced off three times, with the Tigers leading the series 2-1. The Beavers have not beaten Fort Hays State since 2005. Tip off will be at 2 p.m. on Nov. 19.
The Huskies will close out the tournament by playing Northland College. This will mark the first meeting between the two teams. Tip off for this final game will be at 4 p.m. on Nov. 19.Â
