NCAA to cancel all remaining championships for winter and spring 2020

Today, NCAA President Mark Emmert and the Board of Governors canceled the Division II women's 2020 basketball tournament, the 2020 NCAA DII swim and dive championships and the 2020 NCAA Division II wrestling championships, as well as all remaining winter and spring NCAA championships. This decision is based on the evolving COVID-19 public health threat, the NCAA's ability to ensure the events do not contribute to spread of the pandemic, and the impracticality of hosting such events at any time during this academic year given ongoing decisions by other entities.
St. Cloud State University was currently participating in the 2020 NCAA Division II swim and dive championships in Geneva, Ohio and was scheduled to begin competition in the NCAA Division II wrestling championships and NCAA Division II women's basketball tournament on Mar. 13. All of those events have been cancelled by the NCAA.
