
Huskies Complete Comeback to Beat Colorado College in OT

Krannila scores game-tying and game-winning goals
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – No. 1/1 St. Cloud State Men's Hockey (7-2-0, 1-0-0 NCHC) came from behind to beat Colorado College (2-5-2, 0-1-0 NSIC) in overtime on Friday night at Ed Robson Arena in Colorado Springs, Colo. Junior forward Jami Krannila (Nokia, Finland) scored the gme-tying and game-winning goals to lead the Huskies to victory over the Tigers.
TURNING POINT
With 5:47 remaining in the game, the Huskies went on the power play after the Tigers were called for tripping. That's where the Huskies struck, moving the puck around before Krannila was able to power home a one-timer from the right side of the net to tie the score at 2-2 with 4:25 left in the game. Graduate forward Kevin Fitzgerald (Hinsdale, Ill.) and graduate defenseman Seamus Donohue (North Oaks, Minn.) each recorded assists on the goal.

- Fitzgerald, junior forward Kyler Kupka (Camrose, Alberta) and graduate goalie David Hrenak (Povazska Bystrica, Slovakia) each recorded an assist in the game.
- Hrenak added a season-high 32 saves in the game.
- St. Cloud State scored in the first period once again with Miller's breakaway goal and have now outscored its opponents 11-0 in the first period this season.
- The Huskies were 1-of-3 on the power play in the game, scoring their 16th power play goal with a third-period one-timer from Krannila.
- Krannila's two goals in the game marked the second time this season and the third time in his career he has scored multiple goals in a game.
- Donohue's three assists in the game now give him 63 assists and 71 points in his career.
- Miller scored for the second straight game and for the 17th time in his career.
- The Huskies held their opponent to two goals or less for the eighth time in nine games this season, led by Hrenak's season-high 32 saves.
