St. Cloud State Women's Hockey (4-12-1, 4-12-1 WCHA) concludes their 2020-21 season on the road this weekend with a two-game series at Bemidji State (2-14-2, 2-14-2 WCHA). Friday's puck drop at the Sanford Center is scheduled for 3:07 p.m. CST, with a 1:07 p.m. CST Saturday start slated for the finale.
 Bemidji State leads the all-time series with a 48-41-10 record. This is the third and final meeting between the Huskies and Beavers in 2020-21. The Huskies went undefeated against Bemidji State on January 15-16, winning Friday's contest 3-1 and tying Saturday's affair 2-2. SCSU earned four points in the standings as BSU earned the extra Saturday tally in a shootout win. Emma Gentry and Taylor Lind each scored a goal in both games and Lind finished with a team-high three points, adding an assist Friday. Emma Polusny earned the win Friday with a 33-save performance, while Nicole Ness scored her first collegiate goal in Friday's game. The Huskies have gone 2-1-1 against BSU this season. Five of Gentry's seven points (4-1-5) have come against Bemidji State.
Scouting the Huskies
St. Cloud State currently stands at 4-12-1 on the season, sitting at sixth in the WCHA standings, having already surpassed their WCHA win total from a year ago. SCSU stands at 13.5 with a .265 points percentage. The Huskies split with Minnesota State in their last time out. Freshman Sanni Ahola backstopped SCSU to a 4-0 victory on Friday, stopping a career-best 38 shots while recording her second career shutout. Ahola saved a ridiculous 24 shots in the third period to seal the win. Fellow freshman Emma Gentry scored a pair of goals in the win, while Laura Kluge and Hannah Bates each added a score of their own. Kluge and Jenniina Nylund scored the Huskies' goals in a 4-2 Saturday loss. Ahola was named the WCHA Goaltender of the Week for the first time in her career following her efforts against Minnesota State as announced by the league on February 9. This is the second weekly award Ahola has earned this season, as she was named Rookie of the Week on December 1. The Huskies scheduled series at Ohio State last weekend was canceled due to WCHA COVID-19 protocols. SCSU team activities were paused for seven days in accordance WCHA regulations. Emma Gentry is the SCSU goal leader with six, while Klara Hymlarova and Taylor Lind are tied for the team assist lead with five.
Scouting the Beavers
BSU has struggled at the close of 2020-21, having lost seven straight following an OT win over No. 6 UMD on Jan. 22. The Beavers have been outscored 31-4 over that span, being shut out four times and scoring more than one goal just once. Clair DeGeorge leads Bemidji State with 10 points on four goals and six assists, while Reece Hunt is the assist leader with seven.
