Brinkman Captures 3M Dive National Title at NCAA Championships

Brinkman wins SCSU’s first national title since 1999, sixth overall
GREENSBORO, N.C. – St. Cloud State Swim & Dive graduate student Madison Brinkman (Grey Eagle, Minn.) became an NCAA National Champion by winning the 3-meter dive at the NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in Greensboro on Thursday. In addition to winning the national title, Brinkman also records her fourth career All-America honor after earning honors in the 1M and 3M in 2020, as well as the 1M in 2021.

Through 20 events for both genders, the Husky men sit in 21st place with 22 points, while the Husky women check in at 20th place with 22 points.

- Brinkman captured the 3-meter dive national title with a score of 480.55 points, more than 20 points ahead of the runner-up, Indianapolis' Kamila Podsiadlo, who scored 465.95 points. Brinkman is the sixth National Champion – and first since 1999 – in St. Cloud State Women's Swim and Dive history, with all six titles coming in diving events. She joins Sarah Loquai (1997 1M) and four-time champion Mary Ahlin (1998 1M & 3M, 1999 1M & 3M) and Husky National Champions.
- Freshman Anna Reschko (Germany) made her NCAA debut in the 100-meter butterfly, placing 33rd in the prelims with a time of 57.19.
