Parsons and Dachtler score for the Huskies in the victory

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Soccer (3-4-2, 2-2-2) earned a 2-0 victory over Sioux Falls (0-6-3, 0-3-3) on Sunday afternoon in Sioux Falls, S.D. Redshirt sophomore midfielder Gracie Parsons (Omaha, Neb.) and freshman midfielder Jada Dachtler (Iowa City, Iowa) scored goals in the Huskies victory.

TURNING POINT

Parson's third goal of the season put the Huskies up 1-0 in the 24^th minute as St. Cloud State dominated the offensive attack on Sunday. The Huskies outshot the Cougars, 23-8, and 11-3 on shots on goal.

TOP HUSKIES

Parsons scored for the second consecutive game and for the third time this season, moving into a tie for the team lead with sophomore Megan Kirby (Navarre, Fla.).
Dachtler scored in the 70^th minute, recording her second goal of the season.
Kirby and senior forward Jenna Dominguez (Geneva, Ill.) recorded assists in the game.
Redshirt sophomore Evie Kohn (West Lakeland, Minn.) recorded three saves in the game for her second shutout of the season, and seventh of her career. With the shutout, Kohn moves to seventh on the all-time list of career shutouts in program history.

UP NEXT

The Huskies return home for a four-game home stretch, beginning with a pair of games next weekend. St. Cloud State will host Minnesota Crookston on Friday, Sept. 30 and Bemidji State on Sunday, Oct. 2.
