St. Cloud State Women’s Soccer Starts Homestand with Minnesota Crookston & Bemidji State

Huskies will host UMC on Friday and BSU on Sunday

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Soccer (3-4-2, 2-2-2 NSIC) returns home for a four-game homestand, beginning with a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) matches this weekend at Husky Stadium. The Huskies will host Minnesota Crookston (1-8-0, 0-6-0 NSIC) on Friday, Sept. 30 at 6:00 p.m. CT and Bemidji State (4-2-3, 3-1-2 NSIC) on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 1:00 p.m. CT.

Last week, the Huskies played to a tie with Southwest Minnesota State (2-2) on Friday (Sept. 23) and beat Sioux Falls, 2-0, on Sunday (Sept. 25). Against USF, redshirt sophomore midfielder Gracie Parsons (Omaha, Neb.) and freshman midfielder Jada Dachtler (Iowa City, Iowa) scored goals in the Huskies victory. Redshirt sophomore Evie Kohn (West Lakeland, Minn.) recorded three saves against the Cougars for her second shutout of the season, and seventh of her career. With the shutout, Kohn moves to seventh on the all-time list of career shutouts in program history.

Minnesota Crookston heads into the weekend still winless in conference play, recording their only victory against Waldorf on Aug. 28, 2-1. Bemidji State is 3-1-2 in conference play heading into the weekend and earned a 1-0 win over Augustana on Sept. 23.
