
SCSU Athletics Names Wolters Kluwer Athletes of the Month for January, February and March

Krannila, Theis, Hendriks, Brena, Novak and Matchinsky all honored
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Athletics recognized six student athletes as the Wolters Kluwer Athletes of the Month for the months of January, February and March. Men's Hockey's Jami Krannila (Nokia, Finland) and women's basketball's Katrina Theis (Maple Grove, Minn.) were honored for their performances in January, while men's swim and dive's Raf Hendriks (Berg en Terblijt, Netherlands) and women's track & field's Paola Brena (Queretero, Mexico) were recognized in February. In March, wrestling's Nick Novak (New Prague, Minn.) and women's swim & dive's Meredith Matchinsky (St. Cloud, Minn.) were selected. Theis is a two-time honoree this season after being named the January Athlete of the Month.

- Qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 100-yard backstroke, 200-yard backstroke and 200-yard freestyle, as well as relay events
- All-NSIC Second Team – High Jump
- Runner-up at NSIC Championships – 1.74m
- Mark ranked 8th in NCAA DII
- NCAA DII Championships Qualifier
- Moved to No. 2 all-time in the program's Indoor High Jump
- NCAA National Champion – 157 pounds
- 18th individual NCAA National Champion in program history
