St. Cloud State Baseball Finishes Signing Class with 14 Additions

The 14 newcomers join eight high school signees from the fall
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State head coach Pat Dolan has announced the addition of 14 new additions to the Huskies' 2025 roster on Friday. The group of 14 athletes will join the eight student-athletes who signed with the team during the early signing period in November 2023.
"First off, I can't thank our entire coaching staff enough and especially our two new young coaches," said Dolan. "SJ Mousseau has worked tirelessly since June 1 along with Rob Moone, Cal James, and Rob Swendra rebuilding our team after losing 17 seniors to graduation and then again some of our top players to the NCAA portal. And a shout out to our athletic and admissions administration and especially Holly Schreiner and Abby Rittenhouse for their support."
"Obviously, the transfer portal has changed college athletics upside down," said Dolan. "It's here to stay. I'm pretty proud we had former Huskies be selected in the MLB draft and make an All-Big 12 team last season. Congrats to Ethan Lanthier and John Nett on their success! Winning 33 games last year after losing our two captains, and many others to injury was quite the accomplishment for our team."
"Replacing the quality production we lost on the mound and at the plate was challenging and something I have not experienced in my 30 years of coaching," said Dolan. "But when you look at our quality redshirts from last year and our injured players that had to take medical red shirts, along with the returners that did see action on the field, we are excited about this season's Huskies."
"I have a lot of confidence in our team and our program moving forward," said Dolan. "I think it's a double-edged sword always looking for the next best players out there. We are built on culture, character, player development and having fun playing this great game and we love our early season chemistry and progression so far!"
