Orham makes three saves and records fourth shutout

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Soccer (6-2-1, 3-1-1 NSIC) played to a 0-0 draw with Concordia-St. Paul (4-2-3, 2-2-1 NSIC) on Friday night at Husky Stadium in St. Cloud. Redshirt junior goalkeeper Meriel Orham (St. Michael, Minn.) made three saves to record her second consecutive shutout and fourth shutout overall this season.

TURNING POINT

Orham made all three of her saves in the first half, as the Huskies were able to hold off scoring chances from the Golden Bears and keep the score at 0-0. SCSU had six corner kick chances in the second half, but couldn't find the back of the net to take the lead.

TOP HUSKIES

Orham had three saves and recorded her fourth shutout of the season.
Sophomore forward Zoey Fanter (Norwalk, Iowa) registered a shot on goal.

NOTES

With the draw, SCSU moved to 11-6-7 all-time against CSP.
With her fourth shutout, Orham improved to 6-2-1 on the season with 0.56 goals-against-average and a .857 save percentage.
Five Huskies – Orham, sophomore defender Ana Spaine (West Des Moines, Iowa), sophomore defender Grace Olson (West Des Moines, Iowa), junior defender Ella Clow (Minneapolis, Minn.) and freshman defender Izzy Halunen (Woodbury, Minn.) – all played a full 90 minutes.
