Quam and Primerano Named to First Team, Spaine Named to Second Team
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Women's Soccer had three student-athletes named to the D2CCA All-Central Region Team, as announced by the organization on Tuesday. Senior forward Ellie Primerano (Saint Joseph, Mich.), senior midfielder Brooke Quam (Lakeville, Minn.) earned first team selections while junior defender Ana Spaine (West Des Moines, Iowa) was named to the second team.
Spaine's honor is her third consecutive D2CCA All-Region honor after being named to the second team each of the past two seasons. Quam and Primerano each earned the honor for the second time after being named to the first and second teams, respectively, in 2023.
Quam was named to the All-NSIC First Team and the NSIC Midfielder of the Year after a stellar season on the campaign this year. She led the NSIC in total assists with eight while adding two goals for 12 points. She scored both of her goals in NSIC play while adding three assists for seven points while helping lead SCSU to a program-record 11 conference wins. Quam joined SCSU's 25-point club this season and currently ranks 14th all-time in career scoring with 36 points (7g/22a). Her eight assists are the eighth-most in a single season in program history while her 22 career assists rank second. She had three assists against UW-Parkside (Sept. 12), becoming just the second Husky in program history to have multiple games of three or more assists.
Primerano was named to the All-NSIC First Team for the third consecutive season, becoming the first player in program history to earn three all-conference first team selections. She has continued to lead the charge offensively this season, leading the team in scoring with eight goals and six assists for 22 points and four game-winning goals. Among program career records, she ranks third in game-winning goals (eight), fourth in assists (20), fourth in scoring (58 pts, 19g/20a) and 10th in goals (17).
Spaine earned her third all-conference honor when she was named to the All-NSIC Second Team. Spaine has produced two goals and assist for five points and has anchored the backline which has set program records in shutouts (13) and best GAA (0.55).
