
Six from St. Cloud State Women's Soccer Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

Allen, Allen, Compton, Halunen, Hofeld and Spaine earn honor from CSC for academic and athletics performance
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Six St. Cloud State Women's Soccer student-athletes have been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team, selected by the organization on Tuesday. Sophomore midfielder Darby Allen (Minnetonka, Minn.), redshirt sophomore midfielder Kayla Allen (Holmen, Wis.), junior midfielder Cady Compton (Ankeny, Iowa), sophomore defender Izzy Halunen (Woodbury, Minn.), sophomore forward Gabby Hofeld (St. Paul, Minn.) and junior defender Ana Spaine (West Des Moines, Iowa) earned the honor for their success in the classroom and on the pitch.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Dec. 16, 2025 (men) and Dec. 17, 2025 (women).
Darby Allen, a biomedical sciences major with a 4.00 GPA, has made eight started and played in 22 games in her season in the black and red. She has recorded four goals and one assist for nine points, including a two-goal performance in a comeback 2-1 win over Augustana on Nov. 2.
Kayla Allen, an elementary/K-6 education major with a 3.53 GPA, has started 13 contests and played in all 23 games in her second season on the pitch. She's recorded an assist and two shots on goal.
Compton is in her third season as a Husky and maintains, a 3.64 GPA as a business major. On the pitch, she has scored three goals and one assist for seven points while making 21 starts and playing in 22 games.
Halunen is a second-year Husky and first-year captain with a 4.00 GPA as a social studies education major. She has started and played in all 23 games this season, averaging 91.33 minutes per game on the pitch with one assist and one shot on goal while earning All-NSIC Second Team honors.
Hofeld, a communication studies major with a 3.65 GPA, has scored two goals and one assist for five points while starting 17 games and playing in 19.
Spaine has maintained a 3.83 GPA as a biomedical sciences major. She earned her third career All-NSIC honors with a second team selection this season, starting and playing in all 23 games while averaging 90.5 minutes per game with two goals and one assist for five points.
