Bello knocks in two runs, Jacobson has second consecutive two-hit game
JOPLIN, Mo. – St. Cloud State Baseball (1-2, 0-0 NSIC) dropped its series finale with No. 11 Missouri Southern, 7-3, on Sunday afternoon in Joplin, Mo. The Huskies fell behind 6-0 before cutting the Lions lead in half in the sixth, but couldn't get any closer as the Lions took two out of three in the series.
Missouri Southern scored three runs in the second inning and three runs in the fourth inning to open a 6-0 lead over the Huskies. In the sixth, the Huskies fought back when redshirt junior Eric Bello's (Manati, Puerto Rico) double plated two and senior Ethan Navratil's (Albany, Minn.) single plated Bello, but that would be as close as SCSU would get. Missouri Southern added an insurance run on in the seventh to make the score 7-3.
