No. 13 St. Cloud State Wrestling Eyes Conference Championship Against No. 6 Wisconsin-Parkside

Huskies hold share of conference title
St. Cloud, MN. – No. 13 St. Cloud State Wrestling (16-2, 9-0 NSIC) wrap up the dual portion of their schedule this week as they travel to No. 6 Wisconsin-Parkside on Saturday, February 14. The dual is set to begin at 2:00 p.m. With a win, the Huskies would clinch the NSIC Title outright. They currently have clinched a share of it.

St. Cloud State took to the mat for a home and away dual against RV Minnesota State and RV Northern State.
No. 13 Huskies Capture 26-12 Win Over RV Minnesota State in Home Finale- February 6, 2026
Beginning at 125, Ben Aranda put the Huskies on the board first with a 9-3 decision. Aranda came away with an early first period takedown and translated that into a strong ride of over 90 seconds. He would start period two with a quick reversal after beginning down and then added another takedown late in the period and riding for the win. Dominic Ducato doubled the lead for the Huskies as a takedown in the third period propelled him to a 6-1 decision. Ducato rode out Chase Beckett in the second period which led to a riding time point.
With a 6-0 lead, Jayce Luna came away with a 17-2 tech fall over Colton Hush. Four takedowns and four nearfall points propelled Luna to the tech. Minnesota State would get on the board with a decision at 149 as No. 13 Walker Bents beat Alyeus Craig 6-2.
SCSU held a 11-3 lead as No. 2 Joel Jesuroga took to the mat against No. 8 Caleb Meunier. Two takedowns pushed Jesuroga to the 7-5 win as he stayed unbeaten on the year.
The Mavericks got back in the dual as they won the next two matches to only trail by two points. No. 14 Derek Johnson would be defeated 4-1 in sudden victory while No. 13 Drake Hayward would pin Brody Hart.
With a 14-12 lead, No. 2 Cole Glazier provided a key 11-2 major decision to push the Huskies lead to six points. Glazier produced three takedowns, an escape, and riding time as he stayed undefeated. Tyson Meyer would seal the dual victory for SCSU as tacked on a major decision of his own. Meyer would also tally three takedowns, an escape, and riding time.
Now holding a 22-12 lead, Jadon Mims closed out the dual with the third straight major decision for the Huskies. Mims came away with three takedowns, three nearfall points, an escape, and riding time as St. Cloud State went on to win 26-12.

No. 13 Huskies Roll to 29-11 Win Over RV Northern State for Eighth Straight Win- February 8, 2026
The dual started at 285 where Zach Glazier captured a 17-2 tech fall powered by five takedowns. The Wolves would respond almost instantly as they came away with a pin in 13 seconds to take a 6-5 lead.
Moving to 133, Dominic Ducato would respond to the response by adding a second tech fall for the Huskies. Ducato scored 11 nearfall points to go with two takedowns. Jayce Luna extended the lead to 13-3 after a third period takedown and three back points propelled him to a 13-9 decision.
At 149, the Wolves would get back on the board as No. 14 Rudy Lopez produced a tech fall over Alyeus Craig.
Following intermission, No. 2 Joel Jesuroga took to the mat against Griffin Lundeen. Jesuroga would lead 1-0 going into the third following an escape. He would start on top and had a stellar ride with a series of mat returns to lock up riding time. Lundeen would escape with 25 seconds left. Jesuroga would block all shots to stay on his feet to captured the 2-1 decision. Gabriel Smith would follow at 165 where a second period takedown secured a 4-0 shutout win.
With a 19-11 lead, No. 11 Bryce Dagel gave the Huskies their third bonus point win of the day with an 18-4 major decision. Five takedowns, a reversal, and riding time nearly gave Dagel the tech fall.
At 184, No. 2 Cole Glazier faced off against No. 11 Brady Westall in the lone ranked matchup of the dual. Glazier would lead 1-0 going into the third period following a second period escape. Glazier had a strong ride where he consistently broke down Westall's base and prohibited any chance of escaping. He would ride out Westall for the entire period to add a riding time point and generated a second stall call for the 3-0 shutout.
To close out the match, Tyson Meyer battled in a similar match to Jesuroga and Glazier. He would also lead 1-0 going into the final period off an escape in the second. Meyer rode out Ryan Hirschkorn for nearly the entire period. Hirschkorn would escape with 15 seconds remaining, but Meyer had strong defense in the final seconds to ultimately win 2-1 off riding time. St. Cloud State would go on to win 29-11 for their eighth consecutive win.

Coming into this dual, St. Cloud State will have an opportunity to win the NSIC title. No matter what, they have clinched a share of the title, but with a win they would be outright champions. The Huskies have won 18 NSIC Championships including the past two. They have won 14 of the past 15 titles with 13 of the 18 total coming under Head Coach Steve Costanzo.

Saturday's dual against Wisconsin-Parkside will be the 16th dual between the Huskies and Rangers with SCSU holding a 12-2-1 all-time record. St. Cloud State has won nine of the past 10 duals including their matchup last season.
No. 1 Huskies Stay Undefeated With Statement Win over No. 2 Wisconsin-Parkside- January 31, 2025
The dual kicked off at 125 where Conor Knopick wrestled against No. 12 Shane Corrigan. The match would head into overtime after Knopick scored a riding time point and Corrigan tallied an escape. In overtime, Knopick blocked a shot attempt by Corrigan and maintained positioning as he maneuvered his way to the edge of the mat. Knopick overpowered Corrigan to be on his back and then worked his way to complete the takedown for the 4-1 sudden victory win.
The Rangers would respond with victories at 133 and 141 as they now held a 6-3 lead.
Moving to 149, No. 13 Colby Njos wrestled against No. 11 Easton Worachek. Neither wrestler scored a point in the opening period. Njos would come away with an escape in the second period to lead 1-0 as that score held going into period three. Njos chose the top position to start the period and had an incredible ride that lasted one minute and 56 seconds. Worachek escaped with four seconds remaining, but it would not matter as Colby Njos won 2-1 off an outstanding ride.
No. 1 Joel Jesuroga, No. 3 Nick Novak, and No. 2 Bryce Dagel kept it rolling for the Huskies with three decision victories as the Huskies would now lead 15-6.

The Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers comes into this dual holding a 12-2 record and are ranked No. 6. The Rangers have notable wins against McKendree, Grand Valley State, Lander, and UMary. UWP are coming off a 2024-25 season where they went 13-3 and finished second at Super Region V. They would qualify five wrestlers to the NCAA Tournament in Shane Corrigan, Dajun Johnson, Reece Worachek, Chase Stegall, and Lloyd Reynolds. Corrigan and Johnson would each earn All-American honors.
