2019: Austing enters his senior season as a captain for the SCSU baseball team. Of note, Austing is only 56 strikeouts away from being the program's all-time leader. (As of 2/5/2019)
2018: As a junior, Austing earned All-NSIC Second Team, NCBWA 2nd Team All-Region and NSIC Pitcher of the Week (Wk. 7) honors... Recorded a 7-1 record in 13 games started for SCSU... Posted a 1.94 ERA through a team-high of 78.2 innings pitched.... Austing's 1.94 ERA and 78.2 innings pitched ranked third in the NSIC.... Struck out a team-high of 76 batters (6th most in NSIC) while only allowing nine walks... Held opponents to a .213 batting average...
2017: In his sophomore season, Austing recorded a 7-3 record with a 3.36 ERA over 80.1 innings pitched... Started 12 games for the Huskies and made 14 total appearances in 2017... Led the Huskies' staff in 2017 with 95 strikeouts on the season... Led the Huskies' in complete games pitched, with one of them being a shutout... NSIC Academic All-Conference...

Before SCSU: A 2015 graduate of St. Cloud Cathedral H.S., where he played for coaches Bob Karn, Charlie Burg and Paul Gross...lettered in football and baseball at Cathedral H.S...has played amateur ball for the Chutes, Beaudreau's and the Saints.
Personal: The son of Scott and Sandy Austing...enjoys hunting, fishing and baking.
