Before SCSU: Played his prep career at Van Meter High School where he was coached by his father, Eben Baumhover … Produced a .340 batting average with a .920 OPS, 43 extra-base hits and 112 RBI in his prep career … Won back-to-back state championships … Earned All-State honors and was a two-time Second Team All-District and Second Team All-Conference honoree.
