Before SCSU: A transfer from Grand Canyon University, where he played during the 2015 season...as a senior at Valor Christian, Gerlach posted a .403 batting average with 6 home runs and 25 RBI in 21 games...charted a .761 slugging percentage en route to being named to the PBR Colorado All-State Colorado 4A team and the 2014 All-Colorado Baseball Team...was invited to participate in the 2014 Colorado Rockies Futures Game...hit .435 and posted a .563 on-base percentage during the 2013 season...for his career with Valor Christian, he was a .397 hitter while also boasting a .677 slugging percentage through three seasons with the varsity squad.
