Bio
2021-22: Evans was once again one of the top point guards in the conference in her fourth season with St. Cloud State. She repeated as the NSIC Defensive Player of the Year in 2021-22, becoming the first player in program history to earn the honor in back-to-back season, and earned Second Team All-Conference honors for her performance on the court. Evans led the Huskies with 69 steals, bringing her career total to 179, and scored 372 points with 172 rebounds and 113 assists. She scored her 1000 career point in a win over Bemidji State on February 19 and averaged double-digit points from start to finish. Defensively, Evans was a key part of the team's perimeter defense, which held opponents to .306 shooting from beyond the arc during the regular season, and recorded a career-high nine steals in a win over Northern State on November 18. In addition to earning All-Conference honors, Evans was named to the NSIC All-Academic Team at the conclusion of the regular season.
2020-21: Evans made quite a name for herself in her third season with the Huskies, as she became the first player in program history to be named the NSIC Defensive Player of the Year and also earned First Team All-Conference honors. A force to be reckoned with both on offense and defense, Evans led St. Cloud State's No. 1 ranked defense with 29 steals in 14 games, averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game average. She additionally tallied at least two steals in 10 of the Huskies 14 games in 2020-21, and helped the team average 8.1 steals per game while holding opponents to a .367 shooting percentage. As the team's starting point guard, Evans, along with her teammates, held opponent perimeter shooters to a .273 clip from beyond the arc and concluded the regular season ranked 12th in the nation in scoring defense and top-50 in scoring margin, rebounding margin, defensive field goal percentage, three-point defense and blocks per game. She ended the season averaging 14.4 points per game thanks to 259 points and led St. Cloud State in both assists (56) and steals (38)
2019-20: Evans had a breakout year in her second season with the Huskies, earning NSIC Player of the Week and Wolters Kluwer Athlete of the Month honors for her spectacular play throughout the year. As a sophomore, Evans appeared and started all 30 games for St. Cloud State, logging 928 total minutes while shooting .449 from the floor, .379 from three-point range and .837 from the charity stripe. She scored 329 (11.0/game) points and tallying 146 rebounds, a team-leading 115 assists, 11 blocks and 44 steals during the year and set career-highs in points, rebounds, steals and assists. Evans scored a career-high 23 points twice during the season, including in the team's playoff win over Augustana, and recorded a career-high seven rebounds six times in 2019-20.
2018-19: In her first season, Evans appeared in all 29 games with three starts for the Huskies. As the team's backup point guard, Evans scored 126 points for a 4.3 points/game average with 78 rebounds, 62 assists, 28 steals and three blocks to round out her stat line. She scored a career-high 11 points and six rebounds in St. Cloud State's win over Northern State in late February and tallied 10 in a playoff loss to Minnesota-Duluth in March.
High School: A standout at West De Pere High School, Evans earned multiple honors during her time with the Phantoms. She scored over 1000 career points as a senior and averaged an impressive 24.7 points per game to garner All-Conference honors for the third time in her high school career. Additionally, she was a medalist at the Wisconsin Track and Field State Championships and graduated as the school record holder in the 800m run, 1600m relay and 3200m relay.
