Brock Swanson begins his first season as head coach for the men's and women's golf team at St. Cloud State University in 2016-17.

The head PGA golf professional at Blackberry Ridge Golf Course in Sartell, Minn., Swanson has over 20 years of experience as a golf professional and coach.

A graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn., Swanson has also served as a head golf professional at the Territory Golf Club in St. Cloud, Minn., Pebble Lake Golf Course in Fergus Falls, MInn. and Golf at the Legacy in Faribault, Minn.

In addition, Swanson previously worked as an assistant golf pro at River Oaks Municipal Golf Course, Midland Hills Country Club and the Moorhead Country Club during his career.

Swanson has served as an assistant golf coach at Sartell High School and as an assistant girls basketball at St. Cloud Apollo High School and as a volunteer coach at Fergus Falls High School.

An active volunteer in the St. Cloud community, Swanson has served on the board of directors of the St. Cloud Area Youth Basketball Association (SCAYBA) along with being a vice president and coach for SCAYBA. A member of Kiwanis, Swanson was named the 2010 St. Cloud Downtown Kiwanis Volunteer of the Year and also served on the Kiwanis Board of Directors.
