Jon Roesch is in his fifth season as a volunteer assistant coach for the SCSU men’s basketball program.
Roesch comes to SCSU with 23 years of teaching high school mathematics, while coaching high school basketball for 18 of those seasons. He spent four years as the head boy’s coach at Montgomery-Lonsdale High School before moving on to take the head boy’s coaching position at Sauk Rapids-Rice High School for 10 seasons.
His 2002-03 Sauk Rapids-Rice team finished the season as the runner up in the Class 3A state title game. Roesch also was named Class 3A Coach of the Year in the same season.
Roesch's hometown is Dawson, Minnesota. He attended Fergus Falls Community College before finishing his degrees in mathematics-secondary education/coaching at the University of Minnesota-Morris. He then received his Masters in Kinesiology at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
He and his wife Julie reside in Sauk Rapids with their three daughters.
