2013: In her first season as a Husky she played in all 18 games to post five goals including two game-winners and two assists...tallied 36 shots and of which 20 were on goal...named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week for Nov. 4...an NSIC Fall All-Academic team member...scored game winning goals against Minnesota Crookston (Nov. 1) and Bemidji State (Nov. 3)...tallied her first goal as a Husky against Upper Iowa on Sept. 22...a 2014 team captain.
Before SCSU: Thoreson attended Rochester Community and Technical College where she played soccer under head coach Deb Hare...Was named NJCAA All-American, NCSAA All-American Scholar, National Tournament and All-Tournament Team member...She was also a two-time All-Region, All-Region Tournament Team...In 2011 was the fourth leading scorer in the NJCAA and ninth in 2012...As a team they were ranked fourth in the nation...A high school graduate of St. Charles in 2011, Thoreson was a three-sport athlete as she played softball, basketball, and soccer...In soccer she was a team captain and five-year varsity starter, two-time All-Conference recipient, two-time MVP, and four-time Offensive Player of the Year...Holds all offensive records for St. Charles High School and first college soccer player to come from St. Charles...All-State catcher in softball, two-time All-Section, two-time All-Conference...Named All-Conference and All-Conference Honorable Mention in basketball.
Personal: Thoreson was an NCSAA All-American Scholar, named All-State Academic, and a four-time Academic Excellence recipient in high school. She is the daughter of Joel and Tori Thoreson...physical education/health major at SCSU.
