Coach Dolan Wins 200th Game at SCSU on March 18

The nationally ranked St. Cloud State University baseball team (11-2) continued its success in the Minneapolis Metrodome with a 5-0, 4-2 doubleheader sweep over non-conference rival Kansas Wesleyan on Monday, March 18.
The Huskies' victory in game one of the doubleheader marked head coach Pat Dolan's 200th victory with the Huskies. His career mark at SCSU now stands at 201-86-1 since he joined the staff in 2008. In his overall career as a head coach at four year colleges, Dolan owns a 462-277-1 career record.
Dolan has led the Huskies to three consecutive NCAA Division II tournament bids in 2010, 2011 and 2012. The Huskies have finished as the runner-up at the NCAA Division II Central Regional tournament in 2010 and 2012.
In game one, SCSU pieced together the shutout with pitching appearances by four different players. SCSU starter Corey Fitzgerald had three strikeouts and allowed just two hits in the first three innings while relief pitcher Scott Lieser picked up his fourth win of the young season. Relief help was added by Adam Harlander and Ryan Diers.
In total, SCSU allowed just three hits in the game and the Huskies combined for six strikeouts. At the plate, SCSU charted 11 hits in the contest. The Huskes relied on a three-run second inning to ice the contest and they added two more insurance runs in the fourth to make the final 5-0.
Phil Imholte had three RBIs, a double and a triple in game to pace the offense. Garrett Fischer also had two hits in the game and two RBIs for the Huskies, while Sean Borman had two hits for SCSU.
In the second game, the Huskies trailed 2-0 heading into the sixth inning before their offense ignited to gain the 4-2 win in a nine inning game.
SCSU posted its first run in the sixth inning and then added two more runs in the top of the seventh to make the scored 3-2. The Huskies capped the scoring with one more run in the ninth inning to make the final score 4-2.
The Huskies outhit KWU in the contest 8-4 in the game with Steve Rindelaub posting a single, double and three RBIs for the Huskies. SCSU's Brian Hansen also had two hits and two runs scored in the game.
On the mound, Kyle Fischer was the pitcher of record in relief of starter Nick Maiers. Reese Gregory completed the final two innings and gained the save for SCSU.
