Men's Golf Finishes Regular Season at SJU Spring Invite

Monticello, Minn. -- The St. Cloud State University men's golf team completed the 2013 spring regular season with a seventh place finish at the Saint John's University Spring Invite played at the Monticello Country Club today.
The Huskies posted a team score of 299 while the Johnnies won the 14-team event with a score of 289.
Junior Charlie West (Victoria) shot a three over par 74 to tie for 19th place in leading the Huskies.
Gordy Diekman (Alexandria), Chase Hahne (Ramsey), Devin Holmes (Ramsey) and Tyler Koivisto (Cokato) all shot a 75 and tied for 25th place in the individual standings.
Four other team members played the tournament as individuals. Matt Bible (Pleasant Prairie, Wis.) shot a 77, Bill Barhnart (Cottage Grove) shot a 78, Andrew Massey (Forest Lake) shot a 79 and Brad Stieber (Marathon, Wis.) carded an 84.
St. Cloud State competes next in the NCAA Division II Cenntral/Midwest Super Regional, May 6-8 at The Club at Strawberry Creek in Kenosha, Wis. This marks the 12th straight NCAA appearance for the Huskies.
