St. Cloud, Minn. – Jordan Riewer scored ten points in the overtime frame to lead Minnesota State University Moorhead to a 95-88 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) North Division win over St. Cloud State Saturday night at Halenbeck Hall.
St. Cloud State suffered their first home loss of the season. The Huskies are 13-5 overall and 9-5 in the NSIC and tied for third in the North Division. MSU Moorhead improved to 14-4 overall and 10-4 in the division and are in second place in the North.
The loss over shadowed a career night for senior forward Matt Craggs (Kimberly, Wis.) of the Huskies. Craggs scored a career-best 31 points in the game. He made 12- of -18 field goal attempts, was four-of-five from three-point range and had a team-high nine rebounds. He had 17 first half points. Cruz went eight-of-eight from the free throw line. Junior guard Kevin Levandoski (Appleton, Wis.) added 13 points, six assists, five rebounds, four steals and a blocked shot for the Huskies.

The Huskies saw a ten point lead, 61-51, midway through the second half fall away as MSUM went on an 11-2 run to trail 63-62 with 7:15 left in the game. An Isaac Sevlie layup at the 3:59 mark gave the Dragons their first lead of the second half. A Tyler Vaughan three-point basket gave the Dragons a 76-73 lead with 1:33 left. Craggs hit a jumper and was fouled, made the free throw and sent the game into overtime.
