Men's basketball rolls to 90-63 win over Wayne State

St. Cloud, Minn. – St. Cloud State scored the first basket of the game, on a Matt Craggs (Kimberly, Wis.) jumper and never looked back as the Huskies rolled to a 90-63 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) win over Wayne State College Friday night at Halenbeck Hall.

St. Cloud State improved to 14-5 overall and 10-5 in the NSIC. Wayne State dropped to 8-11 overall and 5-10 in league play. The Huskies will host Augustana College Saturday evening at 6 p.m. The Vikings defeated Minnesota Duluth, 82-62, Friday night.
Sophomore guard Jordan Poydras (De Pere, Wis.) was the leading scorer for the Huskies. He scored 18 points on six of nine shooting from the field, made four three-point baskets, had four steals and three assists.
Craggs finished the game with ten rebounds and eight points. Senior guard Damarius Cruz (Plymouth) knocked down three three-point baskets and finished with 15 points and junior guard Kevin Levandoski (Appleton, Wis.) added 14 points and four assists.
The Huskies shot 52.8 percent from the field and 54.5 percent from three-point range. St. Cloud State out rebounded the Wildcats 41-29.
The Huskies led 46-19 at halftime and held Wayne State to eight points in the first 16 minutes of the half.
Senior guard Tyler Bauschek led Wayne State with 21 points. Adol Aluong had 14 points, Jared Bartling 11 points and Ryan Rolfzen ten points.
The Wildcats shot 41.4 percent from the field and were six of 22 from three-point range.
