SCSU to Host #3 Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota State-Mankato

The St. Cloud State volleyball team will return home this week Friday and Saturday, Oct. 10-11, for NSIC matches against #3 Concordia University, St. Paul on Oct. 10 (7 p.m.) and MSU-Mankato on Oct. 11 (4 p.m.). Matched will be played in St. Cloud State's Halenbeck Hall.

- The Huskies are coming off of two NSIC losses against Upper Iowa (1-3) and Winona State (0-3)
- 2014 St. Cloud State Record 7-9 overall and 1-7 in the NSIC.
- Kaitlin Doughty (Tomahawk, Wis.) leads the Huskies in kills with 142.
- Erin Ohlemann (Golden Valley, Minn.) is number six on the NSIC leader board. She tallied 550 assists this season, averaging 10.38 assists per set.
- Brianne Stamer (Hutchinson, Minn.) is second in the NSIC in digs. Stamer posted 280, averaging 5.28 digs per set.
- St. Cloud State sits tenth in both attack percentage and kills in the NSIC. The Huskies hold a .202 attack percentage as a team and average 12.98 kills per set.
Concordia University, St. Paul Notes
- Concordia University, St. Paul have earned seven consecutive NCAA Division II Championships.
- The Golden Bears are 14-2 overall and are ranked #3 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top 25 poll.
- Concordia is on a seven game winning streak with wins over Bemidji State and Minnesota-Crookston this past weekend.
- Anna Schlaak leads the Golden Bears in kills and digs with 199 and 140. Schlaak averages 3.62 kills per set and an attack percentage of .259.
- Kasey Williams is ranked third in the NSIC with 666 assists, averaging 12.11 assists per set.
- Head coach Brad Starkey is in his 12th season with Concordia University, St. Paul.
Minnesota State University-Mankato
- The Mavericks are 10-5 overall and 6-2 in conference play.
- MSU-Mankato is coming off a loss to Minnesota-Crookston (1-3) and a win over Bemidji State (3-0).Â
- Krista Hassing leads the Mavericks in kills with 220 and is ranked sixth in the NSIC in kills. Hassing has a .310 attack percentage, averaging 3.86 kills per set.Â
- Outside hitter Chandra Honebrink leads the team defensively with 383 digs this season, averaging 2.46 digs per set.
- Haley Doran is ranked fourth in the NSIC in service aces averaging .38 per set.
- The Mavericks are ranked fourth as a team in the NSIC for kills, averaging 14.11 kills per set. Â
