Huskies Fan Fest to kick-off 2014 football season

Fan Fest moved to Husky pay lot
St. Cloud, Minn. – The Huskies Fan Fest, a pre-game football celebration prior to every home St. Cloud State football game will move to the Husky Pay Lot (located outside the south gate of Husky Stadium) in 2014.
The move is intended to enhance the pre-game experience and provide new tailgating space for Huskies fans.
Huskies Fan Fest kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 13 at noon when the parking lot will be opened to tailgaters. Special activities for the home opener will include a Beer Tent, Sodexo grilled food, and for the kids - Big Blast Inflatables and an Air Max Launch Pad.
The home opener is part of the Celebrate! St. Cloud State and Family Weekend activities and features the new Huskies Fan Fest area and a post-game concert by the Smithereens.
In addition, KNSI 1450 AM/103.3 FM radio will air its pre-game show beginning at 2 p.m. live from the tailgate area.
The Huskies football team, coming off a 6-0 record at home last season is host to Wayne State College at 3 p.m. in Husky Stadium.

Huskies Fans should note that there will be many activities surrounding the game on Sept. 13. K Lot south of the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center, M Lot west of Halenbeck Hall and N Lot north of Halenbeck Hall are all available for parking.

8:30 a.m. – Color Run (K-Lot)
8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. – Granite Games (Cross-fit competition that will be held at the St. Cloud State athletic and recreation facilities Sept. 12-14)
12 to 3 p.m. – Huskies Fan Fest tailgating, Beer Tent, kids activities and Family Weekend gathering
2 to 3 p.m. – KNSI Radio Huskies pre-game show
3 p.m. – Huskies versus Wayne State College kick-off
7 p.m. – The Smithereens post-game concert in Husky Stadium
