Women's golf opens season with fourth place finish at Cobber Open

Detroit Lakes, Minn. -- The St. Cloud State women's golf team opened the season at the Cobber Open hosted by Concordia College-Moorhead and played at Wildflower Golf Club in Detroit Lakes on Friday with a fourth place finish in the ten team field.
Results
The Huskies posted a team score of 332 while North Dakota State was the winning team with a score of 306. Four Huskies, Madison Tenny, Kendall Niehaus, Mari Liestman and Ashlee Eggebraaten, all played in their first collegiate competition.
Junior Katie Kruchten led the way for the Huskies firing a 40-41 for an 81 and a tie for 11th place.
St. Cloud State will next compete in the Concordia Invite on Saturday and Sunday on the same course.
