#2 St. Cloud State baseball's home opener set for April 3-4

The #2 St. Cloud State University baseball team's (24-2, 8-2 NSIC) 2015 home opener is slated for Friday, April 3 at 1:30 p.m. against Wayne State College. Â The twinbill against NSIC rival Wayne State will be played at St. Cloud's Joe Faber Field. Â The two teams will complete the weekend series at Joe Faber Field on Saturday, April 4 with a doubleheader at Noon.
The Huskies set a new team record in 2015 by winning their first 23 games of the season, which broke a team standard for most consecutive wins and best start to a new season. Â
SCSU most recently gained a number two ranking in this week's prestigious National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll, which is selected by an esteemed panel of sports information professionals from across the nation. Â The #2 national ranking in the NCBWA poll is the highest ranking the Huskies have received this season as they moved up from last week's #3 national ranking. Â The poll was topped this week by #1 Colorado Mesa.
