St. Cloud State's Troy Ryynanen wins medalist honors at Battle of the Falls

St. Cloud State University's Troy Ryynanen scored a first place score of 221 (79-68-74) to claim medalist honors at the 2015 Battle of the Falls men's golf tournament on Sept. 13-14 at the Grand Falls Casino and Golf Resort in Larchwood, Iowa.
Ryynanen's score on the par 72 course was tops for the Huskies, who placed fourth as a team at the event. Â St. Cloud State chalked up a three-round total of 930 (319-301-310) while Manitoba won the event with a total of 913. Â Minnesota State (925), Winona State (927) and host Augustana (944) completed the top five field at the event. Â
Chase Hahne placed sixth at the tournament with a score of 230 (81-75-74) and teammate David Scharenbroich was 27th with a score of 241 (76-82-83). Â Jack Barnhart (29th/242: 79-76-87), Matt Bible (31st/243: 80-82-81), Greg Koehn (40th/247: 81-79-87) and Riley Duncanson (44th/250: 84-85-81) completed the field for the Huskies.
SCSU will continue its 2015-16 season on Sept. 27-28, when it host the annual St. Cloud State Huskies Invite at the St. Cloud Country Club.
