Huskies Land 42 Student-Athletes On The 2016 NSIC Spring All-Academic Team

BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The St. Cloud State spring sports programs landed 42 student-athletes on the 2016 Northern Sun Intercollegiate (NSIC) Spring All-Academic Team, the league office announced on May 4

To be eligible for the academic team, a student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher. Furthermore, the athlete must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at her/his institution (true freshmen, red-shirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.
A total of 672 NSIC student-athletes were named during the spring athletic season.
The Huskies baseball led the way for SCSU with 11 selections followed by the softball team with seven. The men's golf team, the women's track team and men's track team all had six. The women's tennis and the women's golf both had three selections.
