2016: Played in all 55 games with 54 starts…Hit .260 with 24 runs, 38 hits, five doubles, a triple, 17 RBIs, 45 total bases and seven stolen bases…Had nine multi-hit games and four multi-RBI performances…Hit a pair of doubles against Lock Haven (3/5)…Had three three-hit games against Notre Dame College (3/5), Wayne State (4/17) and Minot State (4/24)… Named to the 2016 NSIC Spring All-Academic Team...Served as one of the team's four team captains
2015: Appeared in 29 games with 16 starts…had 12 runs, 14 hits, a double, a triple, two RBI and three stolen bases…had three multi-hit games…recorded two hits against Bemidji State (4/14/15), Augustana (4/20/15) and MSU Moorhead (4/21/15)…drove in a run against Bemidji State (4/14/15) and University of Mary (4/26/15) …named to the 2015 NSIC Spring All-Academic Team
SOCCER AT SCSU:
2014: Thoreson completed her final season at SCSU as the Huskies' top point producer with 10 points in 2014....she also led the club with four goals this fall and added two assists while charting 49 shots...named to 2014 All-NSIC Honorable Mention team...named to 2014 All-NSIC Academic team for soccer...a 2014 team captain.
2013: In her first season as a Husky she played in all 18 games to post five goals including two game-winners and two assists...tallied 36 shots and of which 20 were on goal...named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week for Nov. 4...an NSIC Fall All-Academic team member...scored game winning goals against Minnesota Crookston (Nov. 1) and Bemidji State (Nov. 3)...tallied her first goal as a Husky against Upper Iowa on Sept. 22.
Before SCSU: Puetz (Thoreson) attended Rochester Community and Technical College where she played soccer under head coach Deb Hare...Was named NJCAA All-American, NCSAA All-American Scholar, National Tournament and All-Tournament Team member...She was also a two-time All-Region, All-Region Tournament Team...In 2011 was the fourth leading scorer in the NJCAA and ninth in 2012...As a team they were ranked fourth in the nation...A high school graduate of St. Charles in 2011, Puetz was a three-sport athlete as she played softball, basketball, and soccer...In soccer she was a team captain and five-year varsity starter, two-time All-Conference recipient, two-time MVP, and four-time Offensive Player of the Year...Holds all offensive records for St. Charles High School and first college soccer player to come from St. Charles...All-State catcher in softball, two-time All-Section, two-time All-Conference...Named All-Conference and All-Conference Honorable Mention in basketball.
Personal: Thoreson was an NCSAA All-American Scholar, named All-State Academic, and a four-time Academic Excellence recipient in high school. She is the daughter of Joel and Tori Thoreson...physical education/health major at SCSU.
