Krenz and Pass named Athletes of the Month for Sept. 2017

The award is sponsored by Wolters Kluwer and it is presented each month to a top performing women's and men's student-athlete at St. Cloud State University.  Highlights from the month for Krenz and Pass are listed below.

![]() Volleyball Sophomore Oakdale, Minn./North St. Paul H.S. Krenz has helped lead the St. Cloud State volleyball team to 10 wins in the first month of the season by averaging 5.78 digs per match and totaling 324 digs. Her dig total and average leads the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). She is also placed 21st nationally in digs per set. Krenz has reached double figures in digs in all but one match this season including six matches with 20 or more digs and a pair of matches with 30 plus digs. She recorded a season-high 33 digs against Michigan Tech (9/8). Â Krenz is also second on the team and 14th in the NSIC in service aces (18). Â She was named the NSIC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept 25 for the first time in her career. St. Cloud State's 10 wins in the first 16 matches were already more victories than the program had in each of the last three prior seasons and only the seventh time since 2000 that the program has reached double figures in victories for a season. Krenz has now played in 160 matches and 45 matches in her career with 771 digs, 43 service aces and 96 assists. Â |

![]() Junior New Ulm, Minn./New Ulm H.S. Pass has helped the St. Cloud State football team to three wins in the first five games of the season during the month of September. Pass leads the team and the conference with five touchdown receptions. He also leads the team in overall catches with 18 and yards receiving with 266 yards. He has pair of two touchdown receiving games on the season. Pass caught at least one touchdown pass in each of his final three games of the month. |
