
Huskies battle No. 24 Golden Eagles at Joe Faber Field this weekend

St. Cloud State Baseball (12-10, 10-7 NSIC) welcomes No. 24 Minnesota-Crookston (17-3, 12-3 NSIC) to Joe Faber Field for a three-game midweek series this weekend, concluding a lengthy homestand that has seen the Huskies play the entire month of April at home in St. Cloud. The series opens Saturday, April 24 with a doubleheader beginning at 1:30 p.m. CST and is scheduled to close with a Sunday, April 25 finale at noon CST.

The meeting will be the 39th between SCSU and Minnesota-Crookston, with the Huskies owning a 34-4 advantage in the all-time series. St. Cloud State played UMC in a pair of nonconference tilts in Fort Scott, Kansas this season, falling 10-9 in extra innings and 15-11 on March 7 and 8. The Huskies have not played the Golden Eagles at Joe Faber Field since the 2012 season, a doubleheader sweep for SCSU that saw Kyle Fischer toss a four-hit shutout in a 7-0 game one win while the lineup pounded out 17 hits and scored 18 runs in an 18-0 game two final.
