Friis’ Pair of Goals Propels Huskies to 3-0 Win over Upper Iowa

Friis and Dominguez lead the way in win over previously unbeaten Peacocks
FAYETTE, Iowa – St. Cloud State Women's Soccer (2-3-1, 2-1-1 NSIC) stayed hot over the weekend, as the Huskies defeated Upper Iowa, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon in Fayette, Iowa. Redshirt senior forward Nicole Friis (Appleton, Wis.) provided the scoring St. Cloud needed to give the Peacocks its first loss of the season, as she scored twice on the day.
Junior forward Jenna Dominguez (Geneva, Ill.) opened up the scoring for the Huskies, as she found the back of the net in the fourth minute of the game.
TURNING POINT
Dominguez's early goal provided the Huskies the momentum to get the game started on the right foot, as her goal in the fourth minute gave St. Cloud State the lead for good. The Huskies controlled the pace of the game for the entirety of the game, outshooting the Peacocks, 17-6.
