
St. Cloud State Baseball Heads to U-Mary for Final Midweek Doubleheader

Doubleheader Huskies and Marauders will play at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. CT in Bismarck on Wednesday
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Baseball (32-10, 24-4 NSIC) looks to continue its 17-game win streak with its final midweek doubleheader of the regular season on Wednesday, May 4, as the Huskies travel to Bismarck, N.D., to face U-Mary (21-23, 13-16 NSIC). The two teams will play a seven-inning game at 1:30 p.m. CT, followed by a nine-inning game at approximately 3:30 p.m. CT.
The Huskies are coming off a doubleheader sweep of Minnesota Crookston on Friday, April 29, winning 10-0 and 3-2 to extend its win-streak to 17, its longest since 2017. The third game of the series was canceled due to weather.
In the first game of the doubleheader, redshirt freshman LHP Luke Tupy (New Prague, Minn.) tossed his second consecutive no-hitter, and the third no-hitter in eight games. Tupy struck out 13 batters and allowed just one walk in a 10-0 seven-inning win over the Golden Eagles. It was Tupy's second consecutive no-hitter, after throwing a perfect game against Northern State on April 21. It was also the eighth no-hitter under head coach Pat Dolan and the eighth since at least 1995.
Tupy was named the NSIC Pitcher of the Week for the second consecutive week after being named the NSIC and NCBWA National Pitcher for the week after throwing the 28th perfect game in NCAA D-II history against Northern State on April 21.
