No. 10 Women’s Hockey Hits the Road to Take on No. 8 Minnesota-Duluth

ST. CLOUD Minn. — The St. Cloud State Women's Hockey Team (15-14-1, 10-13-1 WCHA) is on the road against the University of Minnesota-Duluth (17-11-2, 14-10-0 WCHA) for their second to last regular season series.
SERIES HISTORY
The Huskies have gone 15-84-10 against the Bulldogs in 109 total games played. On the road, the Huskies are 5-49-4 at Amsoil Arena. Last time the in-state and conference competitors met was at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center on December 8 and 9, 2023.
In game one of the last series, it took until the 15:33 mark of the second period for either team to get on the scoreboard. The Bulldogs would net the first goal of the series and hold on to their one-goal lead for more than 20 minutes of play. Avery Farrell (Rogers, Minn.) found the back of the net at the 13:50 mark of the final period to tie the score at one apiece. With the game-tying goal, the Huskies and the Bulldogs headed to overtime. The Bulldogs were able to get the win in game one, scoring at the 2:53 mark of overtime.
The Huskies bounced back in game two, taking full control of the game. Klara Hymlarova (Opava, Czech Republic), Alice Sauriol (Sherbrooke, Quebec), and Avery Farrell would all tally goals before the Bulldogs found the back of the net in the third period as they would score on the power play. Addi Scribner (Woodbury, Minn) and Taylor Larson (Nisswa, Minn.) would round out scoring with two empty net goals to leave the score at 5-1. In game two, the Huskies were able to score two even-strength goals, a short-handed goal, and two empty net goals.
