Tweet and Castro combine for nine RBI in offensive outburst
The Huskies seven-run second inning began with a two-run home run from Castro, as his first long ball as a Husky tied the score at 2-2. Later in the inning, redshirt junior Eric Bello (Manati, Puerto Rico) drove in a run with a bases loaded walk to give the Huskies a 3-2 lead, giving way to Tweet's first big hit of the game. With the bases still loaded, Tweet smashed a triple to right field to unload the bases, and then advanced home on an error by the catcher to make the score 7-2.
In the third, the Huskies got RBI singles from redshirt sophomore Hayden Konkol (Denmark, Wis.) and junior Taehyung Kim (Marana, Ariz.), as well as a sacrifice fly from redshirt junior Liam Moreno (Sun Prairie, Wis.) before Tweet's second big hit of the game. His two-RBI double drove in both Bello and Kim to extend SCSU's lead to 12-3.
The Huskies scored seven again in the fifth inning, beginning with a two-RBI sinlge from Castro and then followed by an RBI double from redshirt freshman Grayson Fuchs (Paynesville, Minn.) and an RBI single from Kim. Finally, redshirt freshman Jonathan Pribula's (Plymouth, Minn.) double with the bases loaded drove in three runs and made the score 20-3.
