Morris becomes third signee for the Huskies recruiting class
St. Cloud, Minn.- St. Cloud State Men's Basketball Head Coach Quincy Henderson announced the addition of KJ Morris to the program Wednesday afternoon.
A 6'4 guard from Chicago, Illinois, Morris will be an incoming freshman after playing at Brother Rice High School. During his tenure at Brother Rice, Morris averaged 8.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.1 steals while shooting 57% from the field and 40% from three.
"KJ is coming off of a great senior season at Brother Rice High School where his team finished as runner-up for the State Championship," said Henderson. "The three-sport athlete is less prevalent these days, and yet, KJ has excelled in basketball, football and track over his high school career. He brings a competitive mindset to the game, and his defensive capabilities were a big part of Brother Rice's success. KJ's best basketball is still ahead of him, and with continued work and development I expect his game to continue growing. We are excited to have him join the team and know he will fit well with our returning group."
Morris joins Azayah Washington, who signed in the fall, and Bob Griechen to make up the 2025 Huskies recruiting class.
