A message from Head Wrestling Coach, Steve Costanzo:
Dear Huskies Wrestling Supporter,
I hope your summer is off to a fantastic start. Currently, the Huskies are eagerly anticipating the 19th Annual SCSU Wrestling Golf Classic. The event is scheduled for Friday, August 22, 2025 at Wapicada Golf Club.
We cannot thank-you enough for your past support of SCSU wrestling. Our program continues to gain national attention. Over the past fifteen years, SCSU wrestling has finished in the top ten in the entire country. Much credit is due to the generous contributions and support of our loyal supporters.
This past season, SCSU charted a 14-0 overall record and the Huskies earned a third-place finish at the NCAA Division II National Championship. A total of five SCSU wrestlers earned All-American honors. In addition, the Huskies wrestlers continue to shine in the classroom as ten student-athletes earned NWCA Academic All-American honors.
Amidst a busy summer, the scheduled date was the most requested by several supporters. While we recognize the date is late into the summer, we still encourage and ask for your participation. We also encourage you to aid us in recruiting more participants as the golf outing is one of our program's greatest opportunities for fundraising. While we are aware not all individual's golf; we encourage all of our alumni, friends and families to at least stop by at 5:30 p.m. for the post-golf banquet and alumni reunion.
All financial support generated from the golf outing goes directly to the SCSU wrestling program. These funds are used to help create the best possible environment for SCSU student-athletes to be successful. It allows for Husky wrestlers opportunities to compete with the nation's best and help make SCSU wrestling competitive with the top collegiate programs in the country.
Thanks in advance and we hope to see you on the links! Please contact me for further questions and information.
Sincerely,
Steve S. Costanzo
