2019: In his second season with the Huskies, Carpenter appeared in all 11 games with eight starts, missing the final few games due to injury. A key member of St. Cloud State's defensive line, Carpenter helped the Huskies finish as the No. 18 defense in the nation and earned Second Team All-NSIC honors for his play during the year. As a junior, he recorded 29 total tackles, including 4.5 tackles for loss and 1.0 sacks. He recorded a season-high six tackles in the team's win over Mary to open the season.Â
2018: In his first season with St. Cloud State, Carpenter appeared in nine games for the Huskies as a nose guard. He helped St. Cloud State finish the season as the No. 18 rush defense in the nation, holding opponents to just 1180 rush yards during the season. Carpenter finished the season with 13 tackles, including a season high five against Upper Iowa on October 20.Â
Previous school: Prior to joining St. Cloud State, Carpenter played football at Davenport University.
