Bio
2019: In his final season at St. Cloud State, Gutschow had a breakout season, earning multiple accolades for his performances on and off the football field. He earned Second Team Academic All-America and First Team Academic All-District honors from CoSIDA while serving as one of the Huskies top defensive backs in 2019. In 11 games, Gutschow racked up 45 total tackles, with 32 solo and 13 assists, 1.5 tackles for loss and .5 sacks for St. Cloud State while maintaining a 3.91 GPA. Additionally, he's pulled in two interceptions this season, returned one for a touchdown, recorded 10 pass breakups and one quarterback hurry. In addition to his honors from CoSIDA, Gutschow received the prestigious Butch Raymond Scholarship and Myles Brand Award from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) and was named to the conference's Academic Team of Excellence and Academic All-Conference team.
2018: As a sophomore, Gutschow earned Academic All-Conference honors and was a member of the NSIC Fall Academic Team of Excellence. He appeared in all 11 games for the Huskies during the season, recording 50 tackles (35, 15) with one interception and seven break ups. His lone touchdown clinched St. Cloud State's victory over Wayne State in early October.
2017: In his first year with the Huskies, Gutschow earned Academic All-NSIC honors and played in all 11 games for the Huskies. He tallied four total tackles during the season, three solo, one assist.
Prior to SCSU: Served as team captain as a senior...a two-time First Team All-Conference selection...aided team to two state championships including one as a senior...made 41 consecutive starts...selected to play in the WFCA All-Star Game...a three-time Academic All-Conference... totaled 79 tackles, four interceptions plus 12 catches for 300 yards and four touchdowns as a senior…recorded 176 career tackles and 12 interceptions…played football for Mark Lusic at Amherst High School...also was a four-year starter and three-time all-conference selection in baseball
