Mark Sipple joined the Huskies coaching staff in March of 2014. Sipple serves as the Huskies' defensive coordinator.
He had been the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire since February of 2003. His responsibilities with the Blugolds included strength and conditioning coordinator, recruitment in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, Wisconsin and Northern Illinois, and the promotion and administration of summer camps, coaching clinics, community service projects and fundraising activities. He was named the 2007 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Assistant Coach of the Year.
He also has coaching experience as the defensive coordinator at Wisconsin Lutheran College from 1998 to 2003 where he also supervised and managed the strength and conditioning program, was involved in the acquisition of land and funding for a stadium and practice facilities, and developed community service projects.
Sipple was a graduate assistant coach at the University of North Dakota from 1996 to 1998. From 1993 to 1996 he was an assistant football coach at Menomonie (Wis.) High School.
Sipple holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary math education from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a master’s from the University of North Dakota in general studies/educational administration.
