High School:Â Rodriguez put together an outstanding career with Waseca High School, as he earned multiple accolades for his performance as the team's starting quarterback. During his career, Rodriguez broke the school records for career passing yards (2798) and touchdowns (38) and was the two-time South Central All-District Quarterback and Offensive Team MVP. As a senior in 2018, Rodriguez was named the Big South District Offensive Back of the Year and led Waseca to the State Class AAAA semifinal game. In high school, he was coaches by Brad Wendland.
