2018: In his second season, Mathewson played and started all 11 games for the Huskies at center. As a member of the offensive line, he helped the Huskies rush for 1560 total yards in 2018, which ranked seventh overall in the NSIC and fourth amongst teams in the North Division. Lauer also helped the Husky offense record 3712 total yards of offense while holding opposing defenses to just 14 sacks for losses of 88 yards protecting the quarterback.
