High School: Buckley's resume at Rice Lake is nothing short of impressive, as the three-sport athlete has earned multiple honors during his career. In football, Buckley has earned First Team All-Conference, All-Northwest and All-Region honors and was selected to play in the Wisconsin/Minnesota Border Battle All-Star game. As a quarterback, he holds the school record for career passing touchdowns, passing yards, overall touchdowns, touchdowns in a single game and career scoring, and led Rice Lake to a State Championship as a junior in 2017. Off the field, Buckley was a member of National Honors Society and a four-year honor roll student. Buckley was coached by former Husky Dan Hill.
Personal: Buckley chose St. Cloud State because of the team atmosphere and the opportunity to play football with his brother Parker. He is the son of J.R. and Angie Buckley.
