2019: Played in 20 games with 20 starts for the Huskies in 2019...All-NSIC Honorable Mention in 2019...a 2019 NSIC All-Academic pick...tallied nine shutouts in 2019...12-5-3 record with a 0.76 GAA and a .835 save rate...81 saves in 1904:33 minutes played.
2018: Welsh established herself as SCSU's top netminder in 2018 with a 1.05 GAA and an 8-6-4 record, which included six shutouts...charted first career shutout with a 1-0 victory at UMC on Sept. 16, 2018...also had shutouts over MSU, Moorhead, Northern State, Sioux Falls, SMSU and Mary...posted 72 saves in 2018 with a .783 save percentage...only allowed 20 goals in 1710:09 minutes played...had a season-high nine save in a 2-1 win over UMD on Sept. 9...earned NSIC Goalkeeper of the Week honors on Oct. 8, 2018.
Before SCSU: Welsh's play in goal led her club team, Campton United, to Illinois State Cup championships in back-to-back seasons at the U18 and U17 levels and become U18 USYS National Championship Finalists...a member of the Olympic Development Program (ODP) Regional and Illinois State teams and was a 2015 Region II U.S. Youth Soccer ODP Regional champion...selected to participate in the 2014 ODP National Camp....at Wheaton North High School, Welsh was a two-year Varsity letter winner and earned DuPage Valley Conference All-Conference honors and was named the conference's Goalkeeper of the Year as a freshman.
Personal: The daughter of Joe Welsh and Cara Mckeown-Welsh...computer science major...enjoys playing the guitar and lifting weights.
